Untouchable Smite/Healing Ball Build
Hello,
My PuG and I just ran into a group that was impossible to kill. They were running 6 Mo/R's, a E/Me warder and a R/? maybe spirit spammer, or maybe the Mo/R's had the spirits, can't remember..
The E/Me ran Ward vs. Melee, Ele, Foes, and Ward of Stability (no meteor shower could stop them).
The Mo/R's were running smite spike, with Symbol of Wrath if warriors ever tried to get close to them, healing spring and heal area.
There was virtually no way for us to kill them (with a standard degen build).
I was playing a SS necro, and even with SS on 3 of them they never got close to dying. What could possibly beat this group (on a non-altar holding map)?
E-denial/Migraine couldn't really stop their spike, because they were spiking with Signets, mostly.
Spike them first maybe? But with a balanced build?

the only thing i could imagine to stop them is to take out their warder
and then cast ur meteor or something.
or u bring a double migrain with cry and interrupt them.
but can someone plz post their built or one similar,
im a friend of healingball but never found a good group

Try inturupting. Run multiple inturupts, Cry of Frusturation on a mesmer, savage or distracting shot on a ranger, maybe distracting blow on a warrior...
Also, balanced builds can spike.

Of course balanced builds can spike... but how could the warrior possibly build his adrenaline?
We were running 2 migraine mesmers and I think they both had Cry of Frustation. Maybe we just screwed up, lol.
Here's the build... can't really remember
6 or 7 Mo/R
Signet of Judgement
Banish
Bane Signet
Symbol of Wrath
Healing Spring
Heal Area
<spirit>*
Rez signet
*Edge of Extinction, Tranquility, *, *
1 E/Me
Ward against melee
Ward agaisnt foes
Ward against elements
Ward of Stabiliy
*
*
*
Rez signet
Not sure if they all had a rez, and not sure if there was a Ranger spirit spammer or if the Mo/R's carried spirits, sorry. lol

That is assuming no dedicated spirit spammer. But I think that the build is weak. 1 more monk would go in the 8th slot I guess.

There's a collector just outside Nolani Academy that gives you a fire wand(3 variants, zone till you get one you want..) All have +10% attack speed and -10% damage constant, the variants are an additional -10% damage, -20% chance for a critical hit, and 10% miss chance. Get the -20% critical strike or -10% damage one. Great way to build adrenaline from a distance, or even inturupt trappers, since it's the fastest attacking weapon in the game.

We came up against these guys as a degen (2 migraine mesmers, trapper with barbed, dust, viper) balanced. We fought against them for ~10 minutes on the altar holding map but could not kill more than 2-3 of them at a time.
We were unprepared for this build so that definitely played a factor in our losing. I think that if we were to face them again, I would grom17's advice to kill the warder first, followed up by DPing him as quickly as possible. Then having mesmers spread migraine around and spiking the monks.
I'm not sure if Guillaume De Sonoma has the right build there. I think they were running convert hex or some sort of hex removal instead of one of those smite skills. That would make more sense since the build you have there has no hex removal.

And inspired hex / revealed hex / holy veil / sb / etc etc >> rust. My opinion is that rust is a waste of a slot.

That's why nukers are so treasured in HoH...
Well at least this gives them a reason.
